My goal as your therapist is to give you a safe space to get to know yourself better.
Julia Gerhardt, Therapy Intern is now accepting clients through our online scheduler.
Julia’s interest areas include life stage transitions, couples counseling, and maternal mental health.
I trust that you are the expert on you. Together, we will navigate what you know, how you know it, and, should you want to, how to create change where you want it. I am currently a Couple and Family Therapist graduate trainee at Adler University and hold a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing. In my work, I bring my passion for storytelling and mental health to create space for you to edit, author, and share your own story. Storytelling is a powerful tool and one that can shape how we view ourselves and others. By working with a Narrative approach in therapy, we will use that tool to help you create the narrative that takes the most courage to write. I believe that old patterns are breakable, that change is possible, and that you are here for a purpose.
My particular areas of interests include living with chronic pain, living with endometriosis, building trust and intimacy with couples, processing racialized violence, processing whiteness, and navigating perinatal and postpartum experiences.
I look forward to holding space with you!
