Change isn’t linear, and while that may be uncomfortable or challenging, I operate as a coach throughout your process.
Ashley attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington for her undergraduate degree where she majored in English and minored in Psychology. She immediately transitioned to Appalachian State University to receive her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ashley’s internship consisted of working exclusively with substance abuse with co-occurring diagnoses of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. She has since moved to Chicago to begin her career as a marriage and family therapist.
Ashley has personal experience with family therapy and is a witness of the change that can commence throughout the entire family system. She believes that change isn’t linear, and while that may be uncomfortable or challenging, she operates as a coach throughout your process! Ashley’s clinical interests include anxiety, depression, self-worth and esteem, communication, and trauma. She also has a certificate in systemic multicultural counseling and enjoys working with minority groups that include but are not limited to race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and religion. She further has been trained in DBT and CBT and often utilizes mindfulness with clients.
When Ashley isn’t in session, she enjoys exploring Chicago! Ashley likes to visit museums, new restaurants, and parks throughout the city. She is ready to start this journey with you!
