Alexis Cross is a student actively enrolled in the Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Master of Science (MS) program at Northwestern University. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).

She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Shenandoah University and has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, utilizing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) as an approach to treatment. She utilizes a systematic, strength-based approach to treatment called Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST), which is a framework that incorporates various models to meet the unique needs of each individual client, couple, or family.

She has a particular interest in working with couples to navigate and resolve conflict andstrengthen or rebuild trust. She is also interested in the areas of co-parenting, discernment, and premarital assessment and counseling.

Alexis recently relocated to Chicago with her dog Olive from the Washington D.C area. She enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and is slowly working her way through the impressive Chicago restaurant scene. She practices self-care by cooking, catching up with friends,journaling, and Pilates.
