Samantha specializes in marriage and family therapy.
Hi! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist who works with kiddos, teens, and adults. I treat mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, life transitions, grief, caregiver burnout, and relational difficulties. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with individuals and families struggling with chronic and terminal illnesses. I consider it an honor to support my clients through the nuances of day-to-day life while they shoulder the added challenges illness poses to them and their loved ones. I employ a collaborative, strength-based and empathetic approach. I highly value the therapeutic relationship, and strive to make all sessions feel authentic, comfortable, and approachable. I strongly believe therapy shouldn’t feel stuffy, and I encourage sincerity and honesty from both myself and my clients.
I majored in Family Studies and Human Development at the University of Arizona. I continued my education and received Masters in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Family Institute at Northwestern University. Through my time at The Family Institute’s clinic, I had the opportunity to work with a multitude of diverse individuals, couples, and families with various behavioral, relational and health backgrounds. I enjoy engaging with all types of systems and I value working relationally with every client.
In my free time I am an absolute nerd who loves to read. I also love to watch movies such as Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter and so much more. I am attempting to learn how to knit, and I love to eat and talk about food.
